A private sunset cruise in Dubai costs from AED 1,500 for two hours on a boat carrying up to twelve, and leaves Dubai Marina about ninety minutes before sunset. You get the light on the way out, the sun going down behind the Palm, and the skyline lit on the run home.

The timing is the whole product. Leave too early and you are sitting offshore waiting; leave too late and you miss the twenty minutes before sunset when the light on the towers is worth the charter on its own. We set the departure from the actual sunset time for your date, which moves from about 17:35 in December to 19:15 in June.
The route runs out through the Marina channel, past Bluewaters and along the JBR shoreline, then turns towards the Palm so the sun sets on the seaward side of the boat. On the way back the towers come on, and the Marina channel at night is the single best-lit stretch of water in the city.
Two hours is right for this. It is the shortest charter we run, the cheapest, and the one we suggest for a first time on the water, an anniversary, or anyone who is not sure they want a whole afternoon at sea.
