A proposal on a boat works because the timing is controllable in a way it is not anywhere else. We know the sunset to the minute, we know where the light will be, and we can position the boat so the skyline is behind you rather than in front. Tell us the moment and we build the two hours around it.
The crew are the other half of it. On a proposal charter they set out whatever you have sent us — a ring box, flowers, a bottle on ice — while you are looking somewhere else, and then they disappear. Nobody hovers. If you want a photographer aboard we brief them to shoot from the flybridge so they are not in the frame.
Weddings are a bigger undertaking and worth being plain about: a boat is a good ceremony venue for thirty-five people and a poor one for eighty. On the 85ft you get a deck for the ceremony, a saloon with formal dining for eighteen, a crew of five and a licensed capacity of thirty-five. Legal registration happens onshore; the boat is where the day happens.

- Legal marriage registration in the UAE happens onshore. The boat hosts the ceremony and the reception, not the paperwork.
