Boat tours and trips in Dubai

A private boat tour in Dubai starts at AED 750 per hour from Dubai Marina and runs two to five hours depending on how far along the coast you want to go. Every tour is private — you are not sharing a deck with strangers — and the route is yours to change on the day.

Dubai is a city built along a coast, which means most of what it is proud of faces the water. A boat trip is the only way to see the Marina towers, Ain Dubai, Atlantis, the Burj Al Arab and the World Islands in one sitting, and it takes about four hours to do all of it properly.

We run these as private charters rather than scheduled tours, so there is no fixed departure time to make and no commentary you cannot turn off. Tell the crew what you want to see and how long you have; they will tell you honestly what fits.

If you are after speed rather than sightseeing, a RIB tour covers the same ground in less time and costs less — that is a different product and we run it separately. If you want dinner rather than daylight, a dhow or dinner cruise is the better answer.

What is included

  • Whole boat to your group, with a captain and crew
  • Route agreed before departure and adjustable under way
  • Chilled water, soft drinks and ice
  • Swim stop on any charter of three hours or more
  • Shade on deck and an air-conditioned saloon

Worth knowing

  • Boats cannot land on the World Islands or the Palm — both are cruise-and-swim, not step-ashore.
  • The Creek run is weather-dependent and we will move it rather than sail it in a swell.
  • Bring sunscreen and a hat even in winter; there is more sun on the water than on land.

Options

Ways to do this

  • Skyline run

    2 hours

Marina channel, JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai. The short one, and the best value per hour on the list.

  • Palm and Burj Al Arab

    3 hours

Adds Atlantis, the crescent and a pass in front of the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah beach. One swim stop.

  • World Islands

    4 to 5 hours

Offshore to the archipelago, a long anchor stop for lunch and swimming, and the coast taken slowly on the way back.

  • Marina to the Creek

    By arrangement

The long coastal run past Jumeirah and Port Rashid to old Dubai. A full day, and only worth doing in flat weather.

FAQ

Questions people ask

How much is a boat trip in Dubai?
A private boat trip from Dubai Marina starts at AED 1,500 for two hours on a boat carrying up to twelve, which is AED 125 a head for a full group. Longer routes to the Palm and the World Islands run from AED 2,250.
What can you see on a Dubai boat tour?
From the Marina in two hours: the Marina towers, JBR, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai. In three: Atlantis, the Palm crescent and the Burj Al Arab. In five: the World Islands, with time to anchor and swim.
Are Dubai boat tours private or shared?
Ours are private — the whole boat goes to your group and there is no fixed departure time. Shared scheduled tours exist in Dubai and cost less per seat, but you share the deck and the route.
Can you take a boat from Dubai Marina to the Creek?
Yes, but it is a long coastal run past Jumeirah and Port Rashid and takes most of a day. We only run it in flat weather. For the Creek itself, a dhow cruise from Deira is a far better use of the time.
What is the best boat tour in Dubai for a first visit?
Three hours from the Marina to the Palm and back. It covers the skyline, Ain Dubai, Atlantis and the crescent, and leaves forty minutes to anchor and swim, which is the part people remember.
